Ihr Angebot aus g\u00fcnstigem Essen und politischer Auseinandersetzung macht sie bei Ledigen und durchreisenden Handwerkern attraktiv. Als 1962 die Verpflegungsst\u00e4tte geschlossen wurde, erm\u00f6glichte sie das Jugendhaus Winterthur \u2013 zusammen mit dem Drahtschmidli in Z\u00fcrich eines der ersten selbstverwalteten Jugendh\u00e4user der Schweiz \u00fcberhaupt.<\/p>\n<p>Eine solidarische und sozialistische Grundhaltung durchdringt die Speisegesellschaft und hat seit je ihre Aktivit\u00e4ten gepr\u00e4gt. Ertrags\u00fcbersch\u00fcsse wurden meist an Sinn- und zweckverwandte Organisationen weitergegeben.
